Call for English Director Nominations

Skateboard GB is seeking nominations from the English Members for candidates to stand for election to the SBGB Board.

We currently wish to elect one director to the position of Elected Director for England.

Prospective candidates must submit a nominations form and declaration of good character to [email protected] no later than 5pm on 24 June 2025. Nominations received after this date will not be considered.

All nominations are subject to approval by our Nominations Committee. Should more than one candidate be nominated, an election will be held amongst English Members at either an Annual General Meeting (AGM) or Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).

We are encouraging all members from our English membership to consider this opportunity. Potential candidates, their proposer and seconder must be designated English Members of SBGB at 10 June 2025 and the nominee must maintain their membership until the election is completed. The elected director must maintain their membership for the duration of their term.

Elected directors serve a term of three years and are eligible for reappointment for up to three terms. Will Jones has served a period of three years and has indicated a wish to stand for re-election for a second term.

Directors are expected to commit a minimum of 8 days per year to prepare for and attend Board meetings, committee meetings, events, training and to offer expert support to Skateboard GB as necessary.
