Bristol – Skateurbanism and The Boundary Spanner

Shredenhams, Bristol - Bristol – Skateurbanism and The Boundary Spanner

What is it?

Skateboard GB and Léo Valls are stoked to invite you a free workshop at Shredenhams, Bristol, on Friday the 17th April. Leo will talk about how he brought Skateurbanism to his hometown of Bordeaux. He will be joined by academics Juliette Evon PhD and Jean-Sebastién Lacam PhD. The workshop will build on the concept of ‘The Boundary Spanner’, presented at Connect Skateurbanism Festival in 2024. It will explore the strategies and skills we can all learn from Léo’s approach. The presentations will be followed by an activity where you will put this all into practice in the context of your own towns and cities. There will be loads of opportunity to chat, skate and share experiences.

Skateurbanism describes work by skaters and their allies to achieve permitted skateboarding in urban landscapes, including through the installation of purposive, integrated skateable architecture.
