Video Submission Requirements
Your application must include:
– One (1) unedited 45-second run, filmed on a street or park-style course that mirrors Olympic-level features and layout.
To be eligible for selection, your video must:
– Demonstrate or exceed the baseline trick requirements outlined in the selection criteria for your discipline. Applications that do not meet these standards will not be considered.

Why Unedited?
Unedited video submissions are required to ensure transparency, simulate competitive conditions, and provide a clear, authentic assessment of a skateboarder’s performance under time constraints.

Important Information
1. Eligibility: Be a British citizen with a valid UK passport (expiring no earlier than 6 months after the event).
2. Anti-Doping: If selected, complete the required UKAD or WADA anti-doping education.
3. Costs: SBGB is unable to cover travel, accommodation, or subsistence for non-national team skateboarders or chaperones selected for WST events.
4. Chaperones: Athletes under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. Chaperone accreditations must be requested from World Skate by 8th May 2025. See the selection policy for details on responsibilities and restrictions.
5. Codes of Conduct: All selected athletes and accompanying chaperones must sign and return the relevant SBGB Codes of Conduct before the event.

Please see the selection policy for further eligibility criteria, expectations and information.

What We’re Looking For
Skateboarders will be evaluated using World Skate-aligned criteria across five core areas:
1. Trick Difficulty & Variety
2. Execution
3. Use of Course
4. Flow & Consistency
5. Repetition

Refer to the park or street criteria for baseline trick requirements and detailed assessment information.

Selection Considerations
In addition to your video run performance, the Skateboard GB selection panel will also assess:
– Recent competition history (2023–2025), with an emphasis on current form and Olympic-aligned events.
– Performance trajectory and signs of ongoing development.
– Readiness to compete and perform in international environments.
– Professionalism and conduct, including social media presence.
– Long-term alignment with SBGB’s Olympic objectives for LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032.
Selection decisions will be made using “Selection by Qualified Discretion,” guided by expert judgement and aligned with the objectives of the selection policy. Rankings or competition results history alone will not determine selection.

Submission Deadline
All applications must be submitted by midnight on the 4th May. Late applications will not be considered.
