Skateboard England, set up by skateboarders for skateboarders to improve, support and develop the skateboarding scene across England and Wales, has launched its new membership packages today (Tuesday 27 March 2018).

With just two years before Skateboarding makes its Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the recently formed National Governing Body has created a range of six new membership packages for individuals (Skateboarders, Coaches and Supporters) and organisations (Skate Parks, Schools and Community Groups), to help grow and promote skateboarding and support those involved.

In a first of its kind opportunity for skateboarding organisations across England and Wales, registered Skate Parks, Skate Schools and Community Groups will benefit not only from accreditation and recognition, but the opportunity to promote their venues and services to members and the broader community. They will receive discounted or free business insurance depending on level of membership, discounts on coaching courses, as well as full AGM voting rights, helping to shape the direction of skateboarding in the UK.

Skateboarders and Coaches will also benefit from personal accident and third party liability cover up to £10 million when skateboarding or coaching anywhere in the world.

Skateboard England Chair, Lucy Adams said: “This is a great opportunity for our community to join together to help shape the future of skateboarding in England and Wales. We’ve designed these membership packages to provide something for everyone and the funds generated will help us to make a difference to facilities, coaching, promotion and the growth of skateboarding at this exciting time. We hope that everyone with a passion for skateboarding will join the Skateboard England family and show their support.”

Membership starts at just £10.00 per year for individual Supporters, through to £250 per year for Skate Parks. Further information about membership packages and how to join can be found at
