Skateboarding’s International Federation ‘World Skate’ has just released (29/11/2021) the first official communications regarding skateboarding’s journey to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Although many aspects of the Paris journey are still to be confirmed, we are happy to share the following information:
– The two-year Paris 2024 Olympic skateboarding qualification cycle will begin in June of 2022.
– National Championships are not a part of the Paris 2024 Olympic qualification process. OWSR (Olympic World Skateboarding Rankings) points are not available at a National Championships.
– World Skate will be holding a minimum of 3 events per discipline (street/park) between June and December of 2022. These will be discipline-specific events.
World Skate plans to release more Paris 2024 Olympic skateboarding information in quarter one of 2022. We will provide more updates as we receive them.
