The Skateboard Photography Awards are back for 2026! Celebrating the culture, diversity and inclusivity of skateboarding this year’s photographer awards will shine a spotlight on the incredible photographers throughout the UK. Just like before, unlike traditional photography events, this will allow entries shot on both mobile devices and traditional equipment.
Through the years skate photography has played a huge role in shaping skateboarding. In the early days of skateboarding photography was the main way skateboarding spread. Images in magazines like Thrasher or Transworld Skateboarding introduced new tricks, styles, and skaters to people all over the world.
The judging panel will be lead by skateboard photography legend Rob Whiston and he will be joined by the amazing Juliett Klotrup, Ryan Bailey and Steve Ingle, who were the winners from last years event
For this year’s Skateboard Photography Awards there will be once again 3 key categories:
- Skateboard action shot
- British skate culture
- Skateboarding landscapes
There will be over £3,000 worth of prizes including cash, Samsung products, photography trips and much more…
James Hope-Gill, SkateboardGB CEO says, “We are delighted to be holding the second Skateboard Photography Awards in 2026. Last year was a huge success in celebrating and recognising the UK’s fantastic skateboard photographers. Skateboarding culture encompasses much more than the activity of skateboarding itself and photography using mobiles is a key part of that.”
