Job Opportunity – Performance Development Coach

Skateboard GB is recruiting. An opportunity has arisen for Skateboard GB to employ a Performance Development Coach to help identify, develop, inspire, and support talented British skateboarders who are working towards success at the LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, passionate and experienced individual with a strong understanding and perspective of competitive and non-competitive skateboarding globally. The role will suit a highly driven, competent, organised and innovative person with experience in supporting talented skateboarders.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who is:

– Enthusiastic and passionate about skateboarding.

– Has a global perspective and understanding of the competitive and non-competitive skateboarding landscape.

– Is able to demonstrate successful experience in supporting and developing talented skateboarders in an empathetic and holistic manner.

– Has strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.

– Good written communication skills.

– Is driven, self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks.

– Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills.

– Able to work on their own initiative.

 

The role is home-based and will involve considerable travel across the UK and internationally. A full clean UK driving licence and own transport are preferred, as is the availability to work flexibly, including regular evenings and weekends. Supporting skateboarders at domestic and international skateboarding events is an essential part of the role. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check upon offer of the position.

Salary: £30,000

Location: UK, Home-Based (requires domestic and international travel)
